Winter Palace is the only from four palaces, that belonged to Bogd Khan, the last Jebtsundamba in Mongolia. It was build in 1903 together with six adjacent temples. Once converted to museum, it presents everyday objects of last living buddha and his wife.

Especially worth to see is Bogd Khan’s collection of technical gadgets from early XX century. No doubt he was truly fascinated by western innovations. Besides that you can check whole stack of precious and totally not usable tableware, the Mongolian leader received as a gift from Russian tzar, Nicholas II.
